Shillcox Shamrock Lines Alpacas
Shillcox Shamrock Lines is a family-owned farm nestled on a 211-acre family dairy farm built in 1887 in Wisconsin. Farming has been in the Shillcox family for well over 125 years. Raising livestock and caring for the land are an integral part of their family roots. Raising high quality alpacas for fleece, breedings, and sale is their core business.
While the original barn and farmstead still exist, the Holstein cows are gone and now the landscape is peppered with a multi-colored herd of over 50 huacaya alpacas. The public is invited to tour the farm. Many school groups, FFA, 4-H, knitting clubs and nonprofit organizations tour the farm and are provided in-depth education and hands-on experience with alpacas. The farm has an annual open house each fall for the public to tour the farm and meet the alpacas. For the Shillcox family, promoting the herd, its natural, luxurious fibers, and finished alpaca products are all part of the business.
